A LOCAL PRODUCT THAT RESPECTS THE TERRITORY

With this olive oil you can taste the real Garda extra virgin olive oil, which added value is, among the others, that of being made according to the rules of organic production.

This olive oil is obtained from the pressing of olives gathered during the first period (that goes from the end of October to the beginning of November). Since in this period olives are still in the middle of their maturation process, they maintain all their nutritional values, which of course are transferred to the oil obtained from their pressing.

OIL FEATURES

Oil features The organic extra virgin olive oil DOP Poggioriotto has the following features:

  • Colour: green with yellow shadows
  • Aroma: strong, persistent, with sensations of cutted grass, olive leaf and almond
  • Taste: almost sweet, with a perfect balance between bitter and hot flavor and a good level of persistence. Its aftertaste savours of almond and cardoon.

HOW TO TASTE THIS OIL?

I would suggest you to use my olive oil to dress vegetable soups, fresh cheese, green salads, fish, and with all those dishes which flavor deserves to be brought out.

TECHNICAL FEATURES features:

Taste: fruity
Acidity: 0.12% (To obtain the DOP certification, olive oil must have an acidity level lower than 0.6 grams every 100 litres of oil)
Peroxides: 5.2 (To obtain the DOP certification, their amount must be lower than - or equal to - 12 Meq02/kg)
Cultivar: 55% Leccino, Casaliva, Frantoio. The percentage respects the rules of DOP certification. 37% Pendolino, Maurino 8% Coratina, an olive variety which comes from southern Italy and that gives a particular fruity flavour to the oil. This olive variety also contains important nutritional values (such as antioxidants) which are fundamental for the human health.

PACKAGES

You can find this type of oil in bottles (made of dark glass) from 0.25, 0.50 or 0.75 litres.
